60 Series Power Steering Shock Towers for 40 Series Chassis
POST 07/1974 MODELS
These shock tower mounts are designed for 60 Series power steering conversions on the 40 Series Landcruiser from 07/1974 on. Installing the 60 Series power steering setup on a 40 Series wthout these shock tower mounts will cause the steering column to foul on the standard 40 Series shock towers, these replacement mounts allow the column to clear without interference in a road legal way.
PRE 07/1974 MODELS
The mounts will also work on 40 Series Landcruiser's built before 07/1974, although those models will require swapping out the early 36-spline steering wheel and column with a later 33-spline version. The firewall also needs to be swapped with a later model one to allow for the later model steering column to clear through firewall.
