80 Series Booster Upgrade Kit for 40 Series Landcruiser

$505.00
Tax included Shipping calculated at checkout.

This kit upgrades the braking system for 40 Series Landcruisers by supplying a double diaphragm brake booster to replace the factory single diaphragm one (if it even came with one). The laser-cut spacer plate offsets the booster from the firewall for ideal placement and fitting.

This kit is only for use on vehicles with either factory or aftermarket disc brakes, check out the year and model guide below to see which kit variation suits you.

YEAR AND MODEL GUIDE

Disc Brake Front – Factory

Landcruisers that came with factory front disc brakes only need to purchase the Booster & Spacer Plate Kit if the fitted master cylinder is in good condition, if you’d like to replace your brake master at the same time then select the Disc Front / Drum Rear option.

Disc Brake Front – Aftermarket

For Landcruisers with aftermarket front disc brakes (60 Series, LN106 Hilux etc) modified to their vehicle then we recommend fitting the Disc Front / Drum Rear with the included master cylinder as the port sizes are optimised for disc brake front / drum brake rear. It is important to note that this is only for vehicles from 1975 to 1984, models from 1974 and earlier require major modifications to the firewall and pedal box before this upgrade kit can be installed.

Disc Brake Front / Disc Brake Rear

If your 40 Series has either factory or aftermarket front disc brakes AND disc brake rear axle (via 75 Series rear axle swap or similar) then please select the Disc Front / Disc Rear option.

INSTALLATION:

Please note: Some minor mechanical knowledge is required to fit this upgrade kit yourself, the push rod on the booster will also need to be trimmed between 12mm to 15mm to avoid fouling on the brake pedal.
